Thanks to Roberta Malott for the idea for this |
page, and to Bob Hayes for the start of the list. |
Also, a BIG THANK YOU to Margaret Martin |
who typed her fingers to the bone to send me |
most of this list. These are my Yorkie list |
friends, and I'm so glad to have them. |

Some plants are known by different names. If |
you are ever in doubt, you should check with |
your local nursery. For instance the Calendula. |
It has a variety of names such as "Pot Marigold" |
and "Marsh Marigold". It is a deadly plant |
and has killed pets. |
. |
I've come to the conclusion that plants and pets |
do NOT mix. I urge you to take every precaution |
with your precious pets and keep them away from |
ALL plants. |

|
Another thing you should watch out for is Toads, |
especially the Colorado River Toad. The toads have |
a sac on their back legs that excretes a strong poison. |
The only hope you have is to carefully rinse out |
their mouths (side to side) and keep them cool - cover |
with a cool, damp towel. Pray, and RUSH to a vet. |
Thanks to Susan Preston for this information on Toads. |

If you know of other plants that should be |
included on this page, please send them to me. |
